The instrument is tuned to B/C, making it ideal for the Irish folk style of playing, and most likely dates from the 1980’s. A pre-owned Hohner Tango III S 120 Bass Accordion. This mid size accordion was built, most likely during the 1980’s, in the West German town of Trossingen by the well known and highly regarded Hohner factory. The instrument features 41 bass buttons, 37 treble keys, and is tuned to a straight four voice double octave setup, making it ideal for the classical and jazz styles of playing. The accordion is finished in a high gloss black casework, and did once have an internal midi system fitted, although this has long since been made redundant by the loss of the connections, so the instrument is sold purely as an acoustic instrument.

This modern accordion was built in Germany by the well regarded Weltmeister factory, and is really compact and lightweight, being not that much larger or heavier than most 48 bass models, yet having a full 60 bass range, making it much more versatile and ideal for the smaller player. A pre-owned Elka 120 Bass Accordion. This full size accordion was built in the Italian town of Castelfidardo, most likely during the late 1970s or early 1980’s. The instrument features 120 bass buttons, 41 treble keys and is tuned to a three voice tremolo setup, making it ideal for most styles of playing. The accordion is finished in a high gloss black casework, and although it plays well, it has been fairly well used over the years, so the case does have a few battle scars here and there, hence the very affordable price.
