This classic Hohner Gaelic 96 Bass Accordion, most likely dating from the 1970’s, is a rare and sought after model which was especially designed for traditional Scottish and Irish music with four sets of treble reeds which are tuned to a four voice musette for that typical Scottish sound. The three rows of treble buttons are diatonic (two different notes per button depending on bellows direction) and the insturmnt is tuned to B/C/C#. The 96 left hand buttons are ‘Stradella’ system – the same as most piano accordions. This particular instrument has been well looked after by it’s previous owner and is finished in an attractive pearl red casework.

A pre-owned SEM Ciao 120 Bass Digital Reedless Accordion, built in the Italian town of Castalfidardo by the highly respected SEM factory. The instrument is full size Italian made 120 bass 41 key model, but weighs less then 8KG, which is a fraction of a typical acoustic accordion of similar dimensions, due to the lack of reeds and other parts usually found inside a traditional accordion.
In addition to a wide range of standard accordion sounds, the SEM Ciao 120 Bass Digital Reedless Accordion also has hundreds of built in orchestral sounds such as organs, piano, strings, flutes, brass, synths etc. The instrument also has midi socket for connection to other external midi devices, along with a headphone socket which allows the player to practice silently. The accordion has been well looked after by its previous owner, and is presented for sale in good all round general condition for its age. Finished in a very attractive high gloss black casework.
Please note, this accordion does NOT feature any kind of built in internal speaker, and will need to be contacted to an external amplifier in order to hear the sounds.

This full size accordion features 120 bass buttons, 41 treble keys and a four voice musette tuning, making it ideal for the French and Scottish styles of playing. This particular accordion most likely dates from the late 1960’s or early 1970’s, and has recently undergone a full internal restoration, including having had all the reeds replaced with brand new units from https://www.vociarmoniche.it/ fitted into the original reed blocks (please see pictures attached to this listing), who produce reeds for many of the world’s top accordion factories. Thanks to this, the instrument plays really indeed with a full, rich modern tone that belies its age. The instrument is also in good external condition and is finished in a very attractive pearl red finish.
