This German made  Hohner Student V accordion was bought new in 1958 and has belonged to the same owner ever since.

Very compact & lightweight but with a powerful sound when played with spirit, they have long been the favoured accordion of  folk & Morris players.

This particular instrument is ‘octave’ tuned (LM) so it has one set of medium pitch reeds & one set of low pitch reeds so you can get three tone changes on the treble keyboard (L,M,L+M) rather than two tone changes on the more common tremolo tuned version (M, M+M).
