A pre-owned Gallini 48 bass accordion with 34 treble keys and a three voice tuning. This mid size student model accordion was built in China, and is a bit different to most 48 basses currently produced today, in that it features 34 treble keys, and a three voice treble tuning, rather than the more common 26 treble key and 2 voice tuning. This means that as well as the extra treble notes, this accordion also gains a sixteen foot bassoon reed, as well as the two standard eight foot tremolo couplers, which gives it the option of a much deeper and richer tone using a lower octave when required. However, this setup is at the expense of the bass side, in that although the accordion features a larger range of notes on the left hand in terms of flats and sharps, it does unfortunately lose the seventh and diminished rows. This particular example is around ten to fifteen years old, and is finished in a very attractive light blue casework.
