The Excelsior 960 Midivox III 120 Bass Accordion is a top quality professional model accordion from hand built in the Italian town of Castalfidardo. This five voice professional standard accordion is ideal for all styles of music, as it features both the musette (ideal for the French and Scottish styles of playing) and double octave (perfect for jazz and classical music) tunings. The Excelsior 960 Midivox III 120 Bass Accordion also boasts a double cassotto tuning on the eight and sixteen foot reeds, which gives this excellent accordion an extremely rich and mellow tone. This accordion also boasts a full factory fitted Midivox III midi system with grill mounted controls, which, when used in conjunction with an expander, unlocks the potential to play a vast range of electronic sound either instead of or alongside the acoustic accordion. Factory fitted treble and bass microphones with grill mounted volume and tone control are also present. This particular example of the Excelsior 960 Midivox III 120 Bass Accordion was originally ordered new from us about fifteen years ago by a long standing customer who had the instrument custom built to his specifications. The accordion has been well looked after and is presented for sale in very good general condition and is finished in an attractive high gloss black.
