An Italian accordion badged as an “Eddie Moors”. This accordion is a lightweight compact 120 bass instrument, meaning that although it has the full range of 120 bass buttons and 41 treble keys, the casework is quite a bit smaller than most full size instruments, and is in actual fact not much different in terms of size and weight from a 96 bass 37 key accordion. This is achieved by making the treble keys a fair bit narrower than standard, as well as moving the bass buttons closer together, which saves size and weight. This accordion is of unconfirmed maker, possibly from the Sonola or Guerrini factory, but is very a well built Italian accordion made in Castelfidardo and dating from the late 1970’s or early to mid 1980’s. Eddie Moors was the name of the original importer, and as was the fashion in those days, they removed the original badging in favour of their company name. The instrument features good quality reeds, which are tuned to a three voice setup, making it ideal for most styles of playing. Finished in a very attractive pearl white casework, and presented for sale in good all round general condition for its age.
