Why Musicians Trust The Accordion Shop
The Accordion Shop is a fourth-generation family business selling and repairing piano accordions in the United Kingdom. Founded in Bristol in 1927 and based in Sunningdale, Berkshire since 1993, we hold around 150+ instruments in stock at any time, ranging from 8 bass children's models to hand-built 120 bass professional accordions, with prices starting under £300. We are official dealers for Cooperativa, Brandoni, Excelsior, Paolo Soprani, E Soprani, Bugari, Scandalli, Hohner, Weltmeister, Moreschi, Roland, Chanson, Korg, Victoria and Corelli, and are accredited by the Music Industries Association as a Trusted Music Store.
The business was started by Handel Lovell, a professional accordionist, composer and bandleader, and has passed down through four generations of his family since. His son Coe Lovell ran the company from London after the war; Coe's son Bev opened a shop in Staines in 1969; and the current Sunningdale showroom opened in 1993. Today it is run by his son Chris.
Between them, our staff - professional musicians, teachers and technicians - have well over 100+ years of experience in the music industry. We don't use high-pressure sales techniques. Customers are welcome to browse, play and compare instruments at their own pace, and we'll happily demonstrate anything in the showroom and explain how it works.

There's no substitute for playing an accordion before you buy it. Our showroom near Ascot is open seven days a week, and you're welcome to try anything in stock. Allow yourself an hour or so - most people find comparing three or four instruments side by side tells them far more than any specification list.
